AH-64 Apache fires on insurgents in Afghanistan The AH-64 Apache is a two man, four-bladed, twin-engine attack helicopter. The Apache was developed to replaced the AH-1 Cobra, and was introduced to US Army service in April 1986. The AH-64 Apache has a nose-mounted sensor suite for target acquisition and night vision systems.
