t-shirt designs and Christmas

Well just not in time for Christmas I got two new t-shirts designed. What happened is I designed a few shirts a while back - a Security Forces design and one for BL3 Lab Techs and posted them on CafePress. I never sold any and just about forgot about them. So the other day I just checked the account and wow I've sold a few shirts. Feeling inspired, I decide to design one for the Airborne Troops, the first reviews aren't too good (some good ones also) so I decide to do another version that is more classic in style, I call it the Hardcore Airborne shirt. Since I'm on a roll I also design a t-shirt for female friends, wives, girlfriends of airborne troops. I call this one Airborne AngelsSince no one is going to be buying any more stuff for Christmas I decide to design another t-shirt for my old job in the Air Force. During the cold war we weren't called Security Forces we were called SP's or Security Specialists. This shirt I call Defensor Fortis after the new motto used by the Security Forces, which is on the flash worn on berets etc....

Atlanta Georgia Apartments Updated

The Atlanta Georgia Apartments page has just been updated. It now has over 30 apartment complexes listed, more than any other city I think.

Daytona Beach Florida Added

Daytona Beach is the latest addition to the CityZero City Guides. It looks like a pretty cool place to visit or live. I didn't check very closely but the rent looks fairly low also. You might want to check out Daytona Beach, Florida it looks like a good destination.

Miami Website Updates

Updated the Miami website today - It now has 15 apartments listed on the apartments page. I also posted an ad for the site on Craigslist.

CityZero goes international

Yesterday I launched the first 3 international websites for CityZero. The first three cities are Cape Town, South Africa - London, England - and Sydney, Australia. For now we are sticking with english speaking countries only. Besides places far flung, we are also going to devote more time to the islands of the Caribbean soon.

A ton of new stuff

Well a lot has been going on. I left my position at KSU in Manhattan Kansas to pursue my Website Design business full time. I've added a ton of content to my City Guides including guides to Long Beach California, Phoenix Arizona, and Scottsdale Arizona. There has been even more than that, but I don't have time to cover it all, basically I've been adding about a city a day since I left Kansas State University to pursue mu graphic design and advertising business.

New Cities Added

Alot of new information about cities across the U.S. being added to the CityZero City Guides. Three new cities were added just this month - Honolulu, Hawaii - Tacoma, Washington - and Austin, Texas - as usual you will find great guides to area restaurants, hotels, apartments, and real estate.

Washington D.C.

Portland Restaurants

The Portland Restaurant Guide has been updated for the second day in a row. The Steak House section now has 13 Steak Houses listed, and 10 Seafood restaurants listed.

Portland BBQ Restaurants

The BBQ section of Portland Restaurants has been updated. Their are now 15 BBQ joints listed for Portland, Oregon. I had no idea this city would have so many.

Atlanta City Guides updated

I have added more info on apartments and hotels.

Birmingham Hotels

The Birmingham city guide has been updated. The Hotels section now has a huge list of 10 hotels in Birmingham.

World Rabies Day

I've been working on graphics such as banners and buttons for World Rabies Day as well as setting up a tshirt shop on CafePress for World Rabies Day merchandise. Besides tshirts, there are mugs, buttons, and carryall bags available. All procedes go to the World Rabies Day org. Most of the people doing the work to make this happen are volunteers like me. If you would like to donate your time as a volunteer, or make a monetary contribution you can do so at the World Rabies Day website. To get a cool tshirt visit the World Rabies Day webage at CafePress. All the tshirts have a really cool logo on them. I didn't design it, a guy at the CDC did.

Las Vegas Community and BusinessDirectory

A new website is being launched for Las Vegas. It will include a listing of Las Vegas restaurants, hotels, apartment complexes, car dealers, and select area online businesses.
Any local Las Vegas business can be listed on the site simply by emailling me the information about their business. If the business is not an apartment, hotel, restaurant, car dealer, or real estate then the business needs to have a website and provide a reciprocal link to be listed.

Promote your website

PUT YOUR WEBSITE ADDRESS ON EVERYTING
You should put your website address on your business cards, stationery, and any other printed material. I recently started an online tshirt shop through CafePress, if you need promotional items for your business or gift items it's a great way to get an item that is 100% custom made just for you.

Anything that you use to promote your business should have your website address on it. If it has your business name on it then it should have your website on it also.

Website Tip #1

Have a links section on your website.
The best way to promote your website is through quality incoming and outgong links.
If you are designing your website or having a website designer do it for you be sure to include a links page. There are plenty of small businesses out there with a pagerank of zero. Don't be one of them get and give links that relate to your business. Google recommends quality links - so use them.
